Weekend News

Rowan: Me and Ben played in the sprinklers that's it.

Hayden: I went to Cracker Barrel and met someone.

Reyn: I put three sprinklers out at Gigi and Pop pop’s house.

Ekin: I raced really fast. 

Ben: I watched movies.

Stephen: I Play with puzzles. 

Clarke: I played outside with Grant.

Melanie: I watched EJ play baseball game and helped Mommy cook pancakes.

Blaise: Well, I went to Auntie’s house and she make me this hair and when she was combing my hair I was playing video games. 

Isabelle: I went to kid’s empire and I went to red and blue fair.  

Oz: I filled up the pool with my Spiderman suit on.

Phoenix: I played with my mom and I played baby shark.

James: I went to nanny’s and I build an outdoor shower there and I went to the beach and then I went back home and a storm was coming.

Alycia: I went to DJ’s party.

Today the EC classes practiced for our Spring show all together. They did a great job and are very excited for the show. Have your Cardinal practice their songs at home for you!

The Cardinals designed their very own chef hats to use in class when we cook! They decorated their hats with markers, stickers, and lots of gems! Ask your cardinal about their hat!

A couple of weeks ago, Rowan brought in some small caterpillars and today they brought in the butterflies to show! Thank you Rowan for sharing with us!

Tuesday:

Today the Cardinals had cooking class and made delicious cupcakes while wearing their Chef hats. The activity  started with the book Pete the Cat and the Missing Cupcakes. The Cardinals then each got to help mixing the cupcake  batter and preparing them to go in the oven. After they cooked and cooled, each friend got to ice their own cupcake and enjoy it! Here is what some of the Cardinals shared about their favorite part of baking their cupcake:

Rowan: That we got to decorate them

Melanie: because they have icing 

Phoenix: Icing the cupcakes and we got to put the eggs in

Oz: pouring the eggs in and tasting it

Isabelle: I got to eat it and put the icing on it

Reyn: that we got to put the icing on it and that we got to eat the cupcakes outside 

Alycia: that I was mixing and I also liked the icing 

Ben: eating it

The Cardinals had a great time in Spanish class and were excited when Alicia greeted each of them at the door! Alicia reviewed the colors in Spanish such as Azul (blue) and rojo (red). Friends all did such a wonderful job remembering the colors. After reviewing the colors, friends made patterns with cubes and got to repeat their pattern back to Alicia in Spanish. Today was Alycia’s turn to squeeze la vaca. Ask your Cardinal what color pattern they made!

Wednesday

Friends were so excited to see Josh in gym class! The Cardinals had free play in gym with choices of hula hoops, basketball, and catch and toss toys. Ask your Cardinal what they chose to do in gym!

The Cardinals ate lunch outside each day except for Friday!

Thursday

The Cardinals had a special visitor today! Oz’s Aba (Grandfather) who is an artist came to show us the magic of painting. He brought along his wizard hat and a puppet wizard. The Cardinals also learned how to draw a puppy using different shapes and they even got to paint their very own puppy! Ask your cardinal about the magic mist that was used. Thank you Oz’s Aba for being so wonderful with the Cardinals! And for sharing your gift with us!

Today the Cardinals made Path drawings with Amanda in art class.They drew a person, animal, tree, and house. The Cardinals will have a chance to see their drawings again in 4th grade and compare them! The Cardinals were so excited!!

Friday

Ashanti read us the book Woolbur by Leslie Helakoski before the Cardinals each chose and checked out a book. Ask your Cardinals which book they borrowed? 

Today we had a chance to go visit upper school and see the ducks again! The Cardinals were so amazed by what they saw because the ducks are no longer babies. They are all fully grown now.

And then we saw Josh!!
