Weekend News
Isabelle - I went to the Arcade and had my birthday there. I went to a water park with mommy and daddy. I went to a hotel. I open my presents at home. I'm 5 right now.
Oz - I went to Rowan's birthday party and I hang upside down with Phoenix. I go on the slide and I eat veggie straw and juice. I eat chocolate cake. I got goody bag. I come home New York city and my mom and Ever come home.
Phoenix - I went to Rowan's party with Oz. We play in gym. I jump on the bouncy castle. We ate some fruits and apple juice and cheese puff.
Emma - I eat chocolate pancakes. I make them with mommy. I went to restaurant for my baby's birthday. I watch tv and I play my toys.
James - I went to Spring mountain and I ski. We get lesson so we go on higher hill and then you go back out with your mom and dad. When we done we went back inside and got hot coco. I make a snowman and snow balls.
Alycia - I call my friend Reyn. Then I went to bed and I was so tired and I didn't want to wake up.
Rowan - I had a big birthday party and most my friend come. I got present and I open one.
Hayden - I went to Ben's party and I saw Jamesy. I didn't like any bugs, zero bugs. I play at my home.
Reyn - I call Alycia and I went to dinner with mommy and daddy and baby Jag. I had a Shirley temple and it had soda and juice. I play with my brother. We play hide and seek.
Ekin - I race around my cars. I take my bubble bath and I rest. I go the car show.
Ben - First, we went bowling with Lucas. Then mom and dad leave and we went to sleep. The next day dad and mom back and I go to Rowan's birthday party, it was a climbing place and it so fun.
Clarke - I was practicing gymnastic and I was playing and I play with baby Grant. I belly tickle with Grant and he can do push up now. Grant went to the doctor and got two needles. I also play my dolls.
Tristan - I went to Rowan's birthday party and I did the monkey bars. I also did some hanging and swinging.
Melanie - I play with Ej. I play basketball with mommy and Ej pitch the ball. I watch tv and ghost busters.
Blaise - I go to Rowan's party. We had a snow ball fight with the grows up. We eat some snack and we go home and that's it.
In Music class with Keisha, the Cardinals sang the Owl Moon song in which they sang and did the movements. The main parts of the song are being quite, making your own heat, being brave and having hope when going Owling. Fantastic singing, Cardinals!! The Cardinals worked more on learning the Spanish words and movements to the song chuka-chaka (Choo-Choo). Ask your Cardinal to sing you the Owl Moon song.
Tuesday
Alicia greeted us in Spanish asking how each Cardinal was feeling. Friends proudly responded in Spanish
Alicia: Buenos días, ________. (Good morning ______.)
Student: Buenos días Alicia.
Alicia: ¿Cómo estás? (How are you?)
Student: Muy bien. (Very good) OR así-así (so-so) OR no muy bien (Not very good)
We then headed off to our lower school assembly in the auditorium. The fourth graders shared their investigation conclusions of mold, germs and masks. The first graders sang their hero song based on their hero study. Part of the song was to "Remember to help others and to be your our hero!" We also sang sings with our head master, Rich. Following our assembly, the Cardinals had gym class with Josh. The Cardinals enjoyed choosing from foam frisbees, bowling, soccer balls and basketballs. Shooting hoops was again very popular this week!
Upon our arrival back in the classroom, the Cardinals had a special snack of cupcakes and juice brought in by Rowan to celebrate their 5th birthday! Thank you, Rowan for sharing your birthday with us!
Before heading outside to enjoy the beautiful spring like weather, the Cardinals gathered on the rug and discussed what to name the castle they built. Here are the suggestions: Cardinal castle, Butterfly, Royal, Flutter wings, Glory Elsa, Tiger, Fluffy Cardinal castle, Monster truck, Queen castle and Shinny. The castle is now called Fluffy Cardinal Castle
