Weekend News
Alycia - I play with Melanie went I was at the party. Then I find a new friend.
Rowan - I go to Melanie's birthday party. I also give grandma some treats.
Hayden - I went to my dad's graduation and I went out to dinner. I met someone she was a lady.
Reyn - I went to Melanie's birthday party. I got cotton candy. I went in the jumpy house. I go on the slide with Emma and Oz and Clarke and Ben. I eat water ice too.
Ekin - I go to Melanie's birthday party. I play play and I jump in the bounce house.
Ben - I went to Melanie's birthday. I had cake and I go in the bouncy house and it was so so so fun.
Stephen - I play my doggie.
Clarke - At Melanie's birthday I ate rainbow water ice and pink cotton candy. I was jumping on the jumpy house and sliding. I play baseball.
Melanie - I was at my birthday party and I play with my friends. All my friends come to my party except Phoenix and James. I had a bouncy house and magic person.
Blaise - I went to Melanie's party and I went down the bounce house.
Isabelle - I went to Melanie's birthday. I play on the jumpy house. I eat cake at Melanie's party. At my house I play with water balloons on my trampoline.
Oz - I went to Melanie's birthday. I ate cotton candy and I eat ice cream. I went on the bouncy castle. I bounce and I slide down. I got goodie bag.
Phoenix - I went to Virginia and I drive the train there. I play my cousins. I play my grandma too. I sleep there for three days. That's it.
Emma - I go two birthday party. I go Melanie's party and talent show and a magic show it so fun. I go in bounce house and I get so sweaty.
James - I went camping in a wagon with grandfather and Granny and my sister. We make fire and roast marshmallows. I went on trail and I see water fall. It was grandfather's birthday and we had ice cream cake and we play on the playground.
Today the Cardinals worked on a journal entry titled, What do you like to build with and Why?
In Music class, Keisha talked to us about our work for the Spring Program. We practiced our songs with movements. The Cardinals are looking and sounding good!!
Spanish class was fun as Alicia greeted us, reviewed the calendar, and the number of days we have been in school on the Hundred Chart in Spanish. She then invited the Cardinals to count from 1-20 all in español. Nice work Cardinals! Alicia then read the book BIG BOB, Little Bob by James Howe. The Cardinals learned two new words grande (big) and pequeño (small). The book was about two friends playing and realizing that they can be different and yet they can have lots of fun together. Friends then played a swatter game of identifying words for toys as Alicia called out the words in Spanish. Awesome Cardinals!! This week it was Oz's turn to squeezed la vaca!
Wednesday
Today, lower school students, teachers, Andrea and Rich gathered outside for meeting for worship. We settled into silence followed by Andrea breaking our silence with a message about the wonderful way it feels to be together. Keisha then lead us in singing. Ask your Cardinal how they felt about having meeting outside?
Josh greeted the Cardinals with a big hello and the Cardinals in unison said hello back to Josh. In Class, friends had the choice of what activity they wanted to do. Some friends played basketball, used frisbees, and or hula hoops. Ask your Cardinal what was their favorite part about gym this week.
The Cardinals had a book party before rest time today. Friends chose to read alone or with others! Ask your Cardinal what book they were reading and to tell you a little about it.
Thursday
Choice Time
Today we continued working on our clay tiles now that they are dry. The Cardinals each got to chose the colors they needed to add the finishing touches to their work. Amanda reminded us to be very careful with our work so they do not break. Ask you Cardinal which colors they chose?
Friday
Ashanti read us the book Saturday by Oge Mora before the Cardinals each chose and checked out a book. Ask your Cardinals which book they borrowed?
